Facilitating Infrastructure Sharing in Kosovo

Most of the 1,200 km of electricity transmission lines around Kosovo carry optical fiber, which allows for faster and more reliable transmission of digital data than the traditional wires in the ground, but it has been used only to a fraction of its capacity. The World Bank has worked with the Ministry of Economic Development to foster infrastructure sharing of the Kosovo energy utility (KOSTT) supported by the grant from the Public-Private Infrastructure Advisory Facility (PPIAF).
