13th Procurement, Integrity, Management and Openness (PRIMO) Forum

"Government, Business, Civil Society: Fighting Corruption Together” is the theme of the 13th PRIMO Forum, being held in Kyiv from May 23-25, 2017 and hosted this year by the Government of Ukraine. The Forum is co-sponsored by the  European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and the World Bank, in cooperation with the European Investment Bank (EIB), Asian Development Bank (ADB), SIGMA, OECD, and UNICTRAL.

More than 100 experts are expected to attend, including about 50 high-level government officials responsible for public procurement and anti-corruption in 19 countries (Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, FYR Macedonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Repbulic, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan), as well as representatives from the IsDB, EBRD, EU, SIGMA, EIB, OECD, UNCITRAL, TI Ukraine, UNDP Ukraine, ILO-Turin, WB and others.

Speakers and participants from all participating countries, Canada and the representatives of the development partners will make presentations and discuss their experiences on curbing corruption and fraud in public procurement.

As improving the capacity for public procurement is fundamental to the development of any country, the PRIMO Forum has transformed into a leading event for procurement specialists around.  This community has grown in number and geographic reach, its breadth and scope has also expanded significantly.

Past forums have focused on state of the art developments in public procurement reforms such as centralized purchasing of common use goods and services, electronic procurement, transparency and integrity in public procurement, and measuring procurement performance..etc.

From the certification of more than 1,000 public procurement officers in Serbia to the introduction of electronic government procurement in Georgia, Kyrgyz, Uzbek, Kosovo and Armenia the results of the past decade of cooperation among public procurement specialists through this annual Forum are palpable. As the scope of this Forum continues to grow and the benefits continue to build on previous successes, all the participants in this community of practice - past and future, can expect even more tangible benefits. The PRIMO forum moves into its second decade of transformational change in public procurement through further strengthening regional cooperation and greater support from international organizations.
