This is yet another unfortunate episode in which the Palestinian people in Gaza saw themselves in the midst of conflict and destruction. A Rapid Damage and Needs Assessment was conducted by the World Bank Group, United Nations and European Union. In addition to the humanitarian crisis, the preliminary findings are critical to identify priority interventions and reveals estimated recovery needs of up to US$485 million during the first 24 months.
