WASHINGTON, September 25, 2012 – Media colleagues are invited to an embargoed briefing on the Bank's World Development Report 2013: Jobs. Kaushik Basu, the World Bank’s new Chief Economist and Senior Vice President for Development Economics, will open the event with brief remarks and Martin Rama, WDR Director, will summarize the report’s main findings.
The WDR 2013, which is embargoed until October 1, 7 p.m. EDT (or 11 pm GMT) examines in-depth the transformational role of jobs in advancing development.
