March 22, 2009, Beijing: The Public Information Service (PIS), jointly established by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) and the World Bank, is opened on March 23, 2009. The PIS will provide free information service to the public, specifically:

1) Information about the World Bank
2) World Bank research reports and publications in English and Chinese
3) World Bank online databases, including World Development Indicators, Global Development Finance, E-library and Global Economic Monitor.
II. Statistical Information and Data
1) Information and data from other international organizations
2) Information and data of other countries and regions
