WASHINGTON, November 3, 2015 - The World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors today approved the following project:
Climate Adaptation and Mitigation Program for Aral Sea Basin
IDA Credit for Uzbekistan: US$ 14 million equivalent
Terms: Maturity = 25 Years, Grace = 5 Years
IDA Credit for Tajikistan: US$ 9 million equivalent
Terms: Maturity = 38 Years, Grace = 6 Years
IDA Grant: US$ 15 million equivalent

Project Description:
The Project objective is to enhance regionally coordinated access to improved climate change knowledge services for key stakeholders in participating Central Asian countries, as well as to increased investments and capacity building that, combined, will address climate challenges common to these countries.
