PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Delivery of Improved Local Services (DILS) project aims to assist the Government of increase the capacity of institutional actors in order to improve access to and the efficiency, equity and quality of local delivery of health, education and social protection services, in a decentralizing environment. The project will achieve this aim by helping to implement systems to compensate for inequalities across municipalities; improving outreach and access through innovation in social service delivery; providing support for new regulatory, oversight and quality assurance roles for state level ministries; and capacity building amongst local self governments (LSGs) and other local service providers.
