PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This additional financing for this project aims to improve well being, employment and incomes of the rural poor through better access to basic social and economic infrastructure and services and support for productive activities. The loan will also increase the capacity of rural communities to organize collectively to meet their own needs; enhance local governance by strengthening of community associations and Municipal Councils; and foster closer integration of development policies, programs and projects in rural areas at the local level.
