PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The main objective of this project is to support the government's efforts to strengthen the delivery of public services in urban areas of the country, particularly in Ouagadougou, Bobo-Dioulasso, Koudougou, Banfora, Ouahigouya, and Kaya. The Decentralized Urban Capacity Building Project will strengthen the technical and financial capacity of the municipalities of the aforementioned cities to program, finance, implement and manage public services. The project will also support decentralization efforts through cross-cutting activities that aim to strengthen financial mechanisms and the capacity of institutions involved in supporting municipalities in their efforts to provide public services.
