TERMS: Grace period = 10 years; Maturity = 40 years
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project will focus on addressing major institutional and organizational bottlenecks which prevent achievement of the Millennium Development Goals. The project will support the Ministry of Health in: (a) strengthening the strategy of human resources management; (b) improving essential drugs and medical supplies management strategy; (c) strengthening major public health programs (Reproductive health, Malaria, nutrition, etc.) and improving quality of services; (d) improving demand, accessibility and utilization; (e) strengthening governance and institutional capacity, including capacity for safe medical waste management; (f) ensuring adequate and equitable financing; (g) improving community participation; and (h) implementing appropriate monitoring and evaluation mechanisms regarding program performance and ensuring good donor coordination.
