Mobilizing Islamic Finance for Long-Term Investment Financing

This event will bring together various stakeholders from Islamic finance industry to exchange views and discuss how Islamic finance can contribute to the long-term sustainable growth with respect to G20 framework.

The World Bank Group, Capital Markets Board of Turkey and Borsa Istanbul are organizing this conference titled “Mobilizing Islamic Finance for Long-Term Investment Financing,” under the G20 umbrella. This event will bring together various stakeholders from Islamic finance industry, multilateral development institutions, institutional investors, sovereign wealth funds, policy makers, regulatory bodies, and academia to exchange views and discuss how Islamic finance can contribute to the long-term sustainable growth with respect to G20 framework.

Distinguished speakers from public institutions, private companies, market practitioners, academicians and decision makers will share thoughts, experiences and insides on the G20 vision for long-term investment financing and the possible role of Islamic finance. The speakers will discuss in deep the linkage between long-term finance and economic development. Also alternative asset-backed financial mechanisms to finance large-scale projects in order to attract both domestic and international capital will be pointed out from regulatory and market perspective.
