The objective of this workshop is to exchange views on opportunities to strengthen formal and informal institutions that support the social and economic resilience of local people in the North Caucasus. Participants will include policy-makers, representatives of federal, regional and municipal authorities, academia, and experts from around the Europe and Central Asia region.

The workshop will include a presentation by World Bank experts on the findings of past and ongoing research on vulnerability and entry points for resilience and social inclusion in the region. 

Participants will also discuss and exchange experiences to highlight existing best-practices and opportunities for building resilient institutions from across the North Caucasus region, other parts of the Russian Federation, and internationally.
