Open a Bank Account at BFSFCU for a G5 Visa Holder

G5 visa holders who are employed by G4 staff members of the World Bank Group or IMF are eligible for membership at the Bank Fund Staff Federal Credit Union (BFSFCU).

  • The G4 principal does not need to be a member of BFSFCU for the G5 visa holder to qualify for membership on his/her own.
  • Membership with BFSFCU is not conditional based on visa status; BFSFCU is not obligated to monitor G5 visa expiration dates.
  • Employment relationships between G4 and G5 visa holders are governed by the U.S. State Department and local labor laws, with additional restrictions implemented by the Bank Group and IMF.
