Agata Ewa Pawlowska is the Operations Manager for Ghana Liberia and Sierra Leone. She joined the Bank in 1998 as a Young Professional, starting as a Senior Economist in East and Central Asia and Africa regions. She also worked in the then Finance Resource Management Department that managed IDA15 and IDA16 replenishments.
Since 2011 she has held various field-based positions with increasing responsibility, notably as Sr. Operations Officer in Ethiopia; Lead Operations Officer based in Kazakhstan responsible for portfolio of five countries in Central Asia; acting Country Manager for Turkmenistan; and most recently Operations Manager for Brunei, Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand based in Manila.
Before joining the Bank, Pawlowska worked as a business consultant in an international consultancy firm based in London, UK as well as a lecturer at the University of Lodz in Poland.
Pawloska holds a PhD and MSc in economics from the University of Birmingham, England and an MSc degree in economics from the University of Lodz, Poland. She speaks Polish, English and Russian. She is an avid traveler, so whenever an opportunity arises she and her family are hopping on the plane or in the car to enjoy the nature, hikes, diving and having fun together.
