The Mission:

Through funding from C-JET, the World Bank is implementing a grant in North Macedonia to support the preparation of the country’s Smart Specialization Strategy. The grant will provide technical assistance in completing analytical work on the strategy and consultations will be held to define strategic goals and interventions. The investment climate reforms needed for the successful implementation of the strategy’s objectives will be provided in sector-specific action plans and operational guidance, including strategies for attracting FDI and green investments. Through the implementation these activities and more, this grant aims to strengthen North Macedonia’s business environment while improving the productivity of existing businesses and supporting alignment with the European Green Deal.
