Rural Alliances: The Agriculture Project That Transforms Thousands of Lives in Bolivia

Since 2006, more than 107,000 families have improved the quantity and quality of their products with the World Bank's Rural Alliances project, also known as "El PAR".

Through the creation of strategic alliances between farmers, ranchers, rural producers and food markets, the project allows them to gain access to financing, technology and training, three key elements to improve their productivity and, consequently, their quality of life. The project increases food security and promotes the adoption of climate-smart agricultural practices in Bolivia, while empowering women producers.
