The Türkiye Country Climate and Development Report offers a roadmap for Türkiye to reduce emissions, protect its people and bolster economic growth. According to the report, Türkiye can expand solar and wind capacity to power homes, businesses, mass transport and industries. Clean renewable energy will enhance the country’s energy security and slash costs. Adopt sustainable forestry practices and combat illegal logging and deforestation. This will maximize carbon capture and reduce the risk of wildfires. Türkiye can also cut down industrial pollution by using greener and more efficient technologies. Doing so will boost Türkiye’s share in global trade particularly its exports to the key market of the European Union.
