In southwest China, the World Bank-financed Guangxi Poverty Reduction Program for Results has improved rural livelihoods and incomes through development of farmer cooperatives and their linkages with businesses, professional farmers training and basic rural infrastructure. The big data platform, infrastructure project management information system, and integrated use of poverty reduction funds supported by the project have increased the effectiveness and efficiency of poverty reduction efforts.
