In the Sahel, pastoralism provides a livelihood for more than 20 million people who face many challenges. Today, 40% of these families live in extreme poverty. The rest are at risk of falling into poverty at any moment... It is therefore essential to diversify their income streams. Adiara, Seydou, Oumou, and more than 20,700 people across Africa’s Sahel region have received training, equipment, and start-up capital that has enabled them to diversify their household income, take better care of their families, and look forward to a better future.
