Results that Change Lives: Chocolate "Made in Haiti"

For Ernise Petigny and the Valiant Women Group of Limonade (RAFAVAL), in Haiti, life and business are getting sweeter day by day. RAFAVAL is among the 150 organizations that received financial and technical assistance via the Strengthening Agriculture Public Services project, funded by the World Bank and implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development. The initiative enabled them to gain access to markets for products including chocolate, cocoa powder and cocoa butter, as well as chocolate snacks and milks. Of over 30,000 producers benefiting from this support, 40% are female farmers based in the Grand Nord region and Centre and Sud departments of Haiti.
