Session 6 of the conference on "Globalization: Contents and Discontents" took place on January 16, 2019 and focused on FDI and Innovation. The session included a presentation by Britta Glennon (Carnegie Mellon University) on "Knowledge Transfer Abroad: The Role of U.S. Inventors within Global R&D Networks", by William Ridley (University of Colorado) on "International Joint Ventures and Internal vs. External Technology Transfer: Evidence from China", and by Antoine Mandel (University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne) on "A Network-Based Approach to Technology Transfers in the Context of Climate Policy. Firas Raad (Country Manager, World Bank) concluded with Closing Remarks for the conference.
