Safeguarding Indonesia’s development from increasing disaster risks

Indonesia is a country highly prone to disasters, with over 24,000 disaster events in the last 20 years. The country has made important strides to strengthen its resilience to disasters, including the Indonesian Multi Donor Fund Facility for Disaster Recovery which was established in 2010 by the Government of Indonesia, with support from the United Nations and the World Bank.
