The G5 Sahelian countries of Mali, Niger, Mauritania, Burkina Faso and Chad are working together to tackle problems such as extreme poverty, climate change and security concerns. The Sahel Alliance is an initiative of donor countries and development organizations formed in July 2017. The Alliance aims to stand together with the countries, and work to support their efforts by crowding in private sector investment, delivering on development projects and measuring results.
