Between 2006 and 2015, the World Bank supported rehabilitation of 1,299 rural roads with a total length of 5,402 kilometers and construction of the 195-kilometer Yong’an-Wuping Expressway in coastal Fujian Province in southeast China. About 1.31 million people are estimated to have directly benefited from the project.
