Thirty seconds that changed the life of a country

A dozen young authors write stories to forget. A newly graduated doctor had her baptism of fire while treating the wounded. Today she has her own clinic. A business woman lost everything but has now a flourishing business in Port au Prince.Five years ago, the earthquake left a huge emotional and physical imprint, but also made them resilient and longing for a better future for which they have been working for since January 12th 2010.In the midst of a complex political situation, the task of reconstruction has been a great challenge for the government and the people. On top of learning how to build new houses and schools that would allow them to survive a new disaster, Haitians also try to move forward in other areas, like employment, health and literature.This video shows a few of these stories, through their own words.
