WASHINGTON, October 11, 2022 – Today, World Bank Group President David Malpass met with Rogelio Ramírez de la O, Mexican Secretary of Finance and Public Credit.
President Malpass and Secretary Ramírez de la O discussed pressing issues for both Mexico and the world, including responses to global shocks such as energy prices, food inflation, and supply chain disruptions.
President Malpass and Secretary Ramírez de la O also discussed the World Bank Group’s (WBG) engagement with Mexico, during which President Malpass reaffirmed the WBG’s commitment to supporting robust private sector development. President Malpass was glad to hear Secretary Ramírez de la O’s priorities for development, including on key manufacturing and infrastructure issues
