WASHINGTON, April 19 – Today, World Bank Group President David Malpass met with Sri Mulyani Indrawati, Minister of Finance of Indonesia.
President Malpass and Minister Indrawati discussed the economic impacts of the war in Ukraine on Indonesia’s economy, as well as the broader region.
President Malpass and Minister Indrawati also discussed Indonesia’s G20 Presidency, health preparedness and developing country debt.
President Malpass and Minister Indrawati held good discussions on Indonesia’s energy transition efforts, the resource challenges facing the global community, and the World Bank Group’s support. President Malpass expressed support for the transition, which will entail further regulatory reforms, private investment in renewable energy, asset sales, and reduced domestic market content obligations.
