Fraud Alert: The World Bank Does Not Offer Employment Under ‘End Poverty’ Project

The World Bank’s attention has been drawn to a scheme by a so-called organization ‘End Poverty’ which is offering letters of appointment for employment with the claim that such appointments are on behalf of the World Bank.

Please note that:

  • The World Bank is not behind this scheme and has no affiliation or connection in any way with this alleged offer of employment.
  • The World Bank’s only platform of applications for employment is https://www.worldbank.org/en/about/careers.

The World Bank urges the public to verify any information regarding World Bank-assisted programs at the following website: https://projects.worldbank.org/. The World Bank will not be held responsible or obligated to honor any expectation from false offers. Similarly, the World Bank will also not be held responsible for any refunds of fees solicited by fraudsters purporting to act on its behalf.
