Young Diplomats interested in Development

On February 17th, Thomas Laursen, Country Manager for Poland and the Baltics, Anna Kowalczyk and Malgorzata Dworzynska from the Communications Team of the World Bank had a pleasure to meet with the representatives of the Academy of Young Diplomats (AYD).
The Academy of Young Diplomats is an annual educational program, organized by the European Academy of Diplomacy Foundation, for students in their final years of study and recent graduates to work in the Polish civil service, European institutions, and international organizations. The meeting was organized within the framework of the AYD’s program which goal is to give students the opportunity to discuss current economic and political issues with the representatives of different international organizations based in Warsaw.
The World Bank Team and the AYD’s students discussed the World Bank’s program and engagement in Poland, the impact of the current economic crisis in Poland and career opportunities offered by the World Bank to young and talented people locally and internationally.
