World Bank Launches Bond in Turkish Lira

Washington, DC, January 17, 2008 – Today, The World Bank launched a Turkish Lira (TRY) bond. The notes will be placed with European retail and institutional investors via TD Securities as the lead manager.

Settlement date: February 1, 2008
Maturity date: February 1, 2011
Issue price: 99.772%
Coupon: 14.0% annually
Denomination: TRY 1,000 and multiples thereof
Listing: Luxembourg
Clearing systems: Euroclear and Clearstream
