The World Bank announced today that it intends to prepay an outstanding yen public bond issue, the 6.4 percent Bonds of 1985 - Thirty-Third Series, at its next interest payment date of March 11, 1993. The aggregate amount to be prepaid to investors is Japanese yen 100,000 million (about $813 million), plus a prepayment premium of 2.0 percent of that amount (Yen 2,000 million).
