The World Bank has issued DM 750 million (about US$ 497.3 million) of 10-year bonds through an international group of banks lead managed by Deutsche Bank.
The bonds carry a 9 percent coupon and are priced at 101-1/2 for a yield of 8.59 percent on a semi-annual coupon equivalent basis. The bonds will be repaid at par on November 13, 2000 and are non-callable. They will be listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
Proceeds of the issue will be used in the general operations of the World Bank.
