World Bank Announces Public Issue of Luxembourg Franc Bonds

The World Bank announced that it has signed today an agreement for a public issue in Luxembourg of LuxF 1 billion (about $28 million) bonds. The 10-year bonds have a 7 percent annual coupon and are being issued at 101.5 for a yield of 6.68 percent on a semi-annual coupon equivalent basis.

The issue, lead managed by Banque Internationale a Luxembourg, will mature on March 30, 1998. It is the fifth public issue of Luxembourg franc bonds by the World Bank.
