The World Bank at its Annual Meeting today signed an agreement for a 10-year Dutch Guilder syndicated loan of DFls 300 million (about US$90 million equivalent) with representatives of a syndicate of major Dutch commercial banks. The loan carries an annual coupon of 9%. It will be repayable in five equal annual installments on October 1 of the years 1990 and 1994.
The loan was arranged by Algemene Bank Nederland N.V. as manager of a syndicate composed of Algemene Bank Nederland, Amrobank, Rabobank Nederland, Nederlandsche Middenstandsbank, Bank Mees & Hope, Pierson, Heldring & Pierson, Nederlandse Credietbank, Banque Paribas Nederland, Bank der Bondsspaarbanken and F. Van Lanschot Bankiers.
The transaction represents the World Bank's sixtieth borrowing in Dutch guilders, for a total principal amount of DFls 8,485 million. Of this amount DFls 7,271 million remains outstanding.
