WASHINGTON, June 25, 2020 – The World Bank Board of Executive Directors today approved financing for the following program:
Second National Ganga River Basin Project
IBRD loan: $381 million (Guarantee in the amount of up to $19 million)
Terms: Maturity= 18.5 years; Grace period= 5 years
Guarantee Expiry Date will be 18 years from the Guarantee Effectiveness Date

Project Description: The operation will help rejuvenate the Ganga River by helping stem river pollution, and strengthening the management of the river basin.
