WASHINGTON, July 19, 2016 - The World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors today approved the following project:
United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) - Yemen Emergency Crisis Response Project
IDA Grant: US$50 million equivalent
Project ID: P159053
Project Description: The project development objective is to provide short-term employment and access to selected basic services to the most vulnerable; and preserve implementation capacity of two service delivery programs, namely Social Fund for Development (SFD) and Public Works Project (PWP). The proposed project is expected to create over one million days of short-term employment benefiting about 58,700 impacted individuals and their families, and provide access to key services to about 387,000 poor people.
