World Bank Approves US$ 63 Million for the Socio-Economic Empowerment of Adolescent Girls and Young Women in Jharkhand, India

WASHINGTON, June 21, 2016 - The World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors today approved additional financing for the following project.

India: Tejaswini: Socioeconomic Empowerment of Adolescent Girls & Young Women Project in Jharkhand,

IDA Credit: US$63 million equivalent

Terms: Maturity = 25 years, Grace = 5 years

Project ID: P150576

Project Description:  To support adolescent girls and young women, ages 14-24, to complete their secondary level education and acquire relevant skills for the job market.
