The objective of the North East Local Services Improvement Project (NELSIP) for Sri Lanka is to support local authorities in the Northern and Eastern province to deliver services and local infrastructure in a responsive and accountable manner. The additional financing will help finance the costs associated with expanding the project area to war affected adjoining districts of Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Puttalam, and Moneragala.
