WASHINGTON, May 5, 2015 - The World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors today approved the following project:
Egypt –Inclusive Housing Finance Program
Loan: US $500 million equivalent
Terms: Maturity = 35 years, Grace = 5 years
Program ID: P150993
Program Description: The program will improve access to homeownership and rental units for low-income households in Egypt. It will reach 4.2 million people, including an estimated 1.6 million beneficiaries living below the poverty line and and generate an estimared 1.5 million temporary construction jobs over a 5-year period, the life of the program.
