Project Description: The additional financing will primarily finance costs associated with scaling up the development effectiveness and impact of the original project, as described in the project appraisal document presented to the Board on May 3, 2007. The scaling up includes investments in water supply, flood reduction and mitigation, solid waste management, and urban roads as well as technical assistance for institutional strengthening. The additional financing will also finance cost overruns, mainly related to the increase in the price of cement.
