Project Description: The development objective of the project is twofold: (i) to support the development of institutional and methodological framework for rehabilitation of highly polluted sites, resulting from rapid industrialization and which is piloted in two states; and (ii) to build tangible human and technical capacity in state agencies for undertaking projects for reducing the risks from contamination to population, livelihood and ecosystem, associated with past environmental damage.
