Sri Lanka country context has changed dramatically since the end of the armed conflict in 2009. The Sri Lankan economy grew strongly during 2011 (about 8%), largely due to the post-conflict rebound. Resettlement of Internally Displaced Persons is largely complete. Sri Lanka is now a middle income country. As a consequence of achieving a middle income status, Sri Lanka has acquired access to IBRD financing as of FY12, allowing for significantly increased financial support from the World Bank during the coming years.
