What's Your Idea?

The World Bank is asking undergraduate and graduate students from around Bangladesh to provide innovative solutions for a climate-smart development benefitting all.

The Global Climate Risk Index ranks Bangladesh as the world’s seventh most-affected country over 2000-2019. The people—whether they live in the coastal area in the south, in the north, or even in the capital Dhaka—are subject to the significant risk posed by climate change.

Despite its vulnerability to climate change, Bangladesh has  emerged as a leader in climate adaptation and disaster preparedness. But, natural disasters, such as floods, coastal and riverine erosion, and cyclones have become more frequent, more intense, and unpredictable. We must take urgent actions now to ensure that the country can continue green and inclusive development.

The time to act is now – climate actions cannot be delayed.

Be the next Climate Change Champions! Win exciting prizes and the team with the most innovative solution will also get an opportunity to present their ideas at the World Bank Headquarter in Washington, DC.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WINNERS
