International Conference on Policy Challenges for the Financial Sector

The virtual 21st Annual International Conference on Policy Challenges for the Financial Sector organized for senior officials from central banks and supervisory authorities was held on May 31-June 2, 2022. 

The theme of the Conference was “Evolution or Revolution? Re-inventing financial supervision in the era of paradigm shifts”. The topics of the panel discussions for the 3-day Conference were:

• Fostering systems of financial supervision for an evolving and uncertain macroeconomic environment;
• Embracing climate risk perspective in a new mindset to transform supervisory and market approaches;
• Navigating priorities in credit risk supervision through new challenges to retain strong financial systems.

More than 300 participants at the level of Governor/Deputy Governor, Head/Deputy Head of Supervision, as well as high-level staff involved in policy formulation in their respective countries, attended this virtual conference.
