  • More than a year into the pandemic, the East Asia and Pacific (EAP) region is seeing an uneven economic revival. China and Vietnam’s relative resilience is being followed by rapid growth, while the rest of the region slowly recovers from recession.

What explains these differences? What do we expect?  What can be done?

The Spring EAP Update addresses these questions, critically evaluating three dimensions of policy:  vaccination to contain COVID-19; fiscal policy for relief, recovery and growth; and climate policy to build back better.
