The Secret Sauce of the ABC Soup of Economic Incentives for Sustainable Landscape Management in Indonesia

The World Bank Indonesia invites you to Bicara Bumi Webinar Series on ‘The Secret Sauce of the ABC Soup of Economic Incentives for Sustainable Landscape Management’ on December 15, 2020 at 9:00-10:30am Jakarta time.

On its third edition, the upcoming Bicara Bumi invites you to better understand the ‘secret sauce’ behind successful economic incentive schemes across local, national, and international levels to promote sustainable landscape management. Through a panel of global and national experts, the session will highlight key challenges, barriers to scale or replicate these initiatives in other areas, and practical success stories of existing economic incentive models. Participants across the public, private, academia, as well as civil society sectors are invited to join and enrich the discussion.

Objectives:

• Share the role of economic incentives in promoting environmental protection and natural resource management, particularly in relations to the government's plan on the Economic Value of Carbon;
• Highlight and share key practical success stories from the ground on successful economic instrument schemes; and
• Introduce the economic incentive work program under Indonesia Sustainable Landscapes Management Program (ISLMP).
