The World Bank, jointly with the IMF and the Parliamentary Network on the World Bank and IMF will be hosting a Global Parliamentary Workshop on Tuesday, October 15 at the World Bank headquarters in Washington D.C. just ahead of the 2019 Annual Meetings. This year’s workshop will be the occasion for approximately 60 influential parliamentarians from across the globe to exchange with senior management and experts from the World Bank and IMF on development and economic issues around the theme of “Inequalities.” Sessions will explore the various ways legislators can team with international financial institutions to implement effective policies and programs to level the playing field and lift millions out of poverty.
