World Bank Group President, Jim Yong Kim, welcomed Chancellor Angela Merkel at the World Bank Group’s headquarters during her visit to Washington on Monday, February 9, 2015. Chancellor Merkel and President Kim met for a discussion around the priorities of Germany’s G7 Presidency. Following their meeting, the Chancellor met with German World Bank Group staff members for a photo opportunity. Chancellor Merkel’s visit was the first by a German head of state to the World Bank Group.
