The new Government of Mongolia is taking office at the time when Mongolia and the world is faced with an unprecedented public health and economic crisis. It is confronted with the difficult task of reviving the economy and protecting the poor and vulnerable in the short term, while laying the foundation for sustainable growth and inclusive development for the future.
The World Bank Group (WBG) teams prepared the Policy Notes to share the WBG’s assessment of the most important reform areas and provide key policy options for the new government. Based on our most recent analytical work in Mongolia as well as our global experience, the Policy Notes are organized in three areas:
- Institutional and Structural Reforms for a Stronger and More Inclusive Recovery;
- Sustainable Management of Natural and Built Capital for a Greener, Diversified, and Resilient Economy;
- Maximizing Returns on Human Capital Investment in Mongolia.
