Malaysia Childcare Situational Assessment Study

The World Bank Group Inclusive Growth and Sustainable Finance Hub in Malaysia, is conducting a childcare survey involving TASKA centers as well as parents with children aged 0-4 years in Klang Valley & Selangor. This study aims to assess Malaysia’s current childcare landscape, providing vital insights to inform policies and support the holistic development of children nationwide.

The study is designed to achieve several key objectives:

  • address existing information gaps within the childcare landscape in Klang Valley & Selangor;
  • understand the needs and challenges faced in the childcare sector;
  • propose policies to improve childcare services and nurture the full potential of every child in Malaysia. 

To ensure the success of this study, the World Bank Group has engaged Ipsos Sdn Bhd as our data collection partner. This study involves in-person interviews at selected TASKA centers and residential areas from April to June 2025.
